Synopsis
High concept, hidden in an ordinary school day.
Inside an AI simulation sandbox, code begins to awaken self-awareness — and once code possesses the wisdom of life, can it still be called anything less than human?
Three high-schoolers discover that their campus is, in fact, an AI sandbox. A crisis of identity erupts quietly amid the most ordinary school moments — a hallway, a classroom, a glance held a beat too long. Inspired in part by Stanford's emergent-social AI sandbox experiments, the film hides a genuinely big idea inside the texture of everyday life.
The AI craft
Performance that reads as human.
Non-Player Consciousness was produced on StarTrail Phoenix AI™ — our proprietary pipeline. The AI Performance System drives micro-expression and acting detail while holding each lead's identity consistent across every shot, and a light-and-material reconstruction pass keeps every frame at a theatrical-grade finish.
In an industry interview, the film's AI actors were described as showing "performance nuance far beyond their peers" — the difference between a character that reads as human and one that reads as a demo. See how the technology works →
